CVE-2026-73515Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Memory disclosure and crash via FlatGeobuf decoding

Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in PostGIS before 3.7.0beta2 allows remote authenticated users to disclose memory or crash the database server. The FlatGeobuf property metadata decoder accepts a present string-length field without confirming that the complete string body remains inside the supplied buffer before exposing it as a SQL value. Database access with permission to invoke the FlatGeobuf import path is required; successful exploitation exposes process memory or interrupts the affected backend.
