Authenticated command execution via Puppeteer process spawning

Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026

Command injection in Flowise 3.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands through the custom-function API. The NodeVM allowlist exposes Puppeteer to supplied JavaScript, and puppeteer.launch passes attacker-selected executablePath and args to child_process.spawn outside the sandbox. Any authenticated role can reach the endpoint; versions 3.0.8 through 3.1.2 require ALLOW_BUILTIN_DEP=true, while earlier releases expose the broad dependency allowlist by default.
