CVE-2026-73467

TACACS+ shared-secret disclosure via verbose trace logging

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Sensitive-data logging in affected Arista EOS releases allows local users to read TACACS+ shared secrets from Aaa agent log files. With Aaa agent Tacacs tracing set to level 6 or a range containing 6, the addServer log entry records the configured server key in plaintext. Exploitation requires authenticated local administrative shell access and nonstandard debugging traces; exposed logs disclose TACACS+ credentials.
