Private-key disclosure via unredacted ConfigAgent traces
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Sensitive-data exposure in affected Arista EOS releases allows local users to read plaintext private keys from ConfigAgent logs. When MgmtSecuritySslCertKey trace levels 0, 3, or 4 are enabled, ConfigAgent writes PEM private-key material to its agent logs without redaction. Exploitation requires authenticated local administrative shell access and explicitly enabled nonstandard tracing; exposed keys can then be recovered from local log files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0.0.0 <=4.33.9M
