Unauthenticated code execution via crafted P4Runtime packet
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Code injection in P4Runtime in Arista EOS 4.29.2F through 4.36.1F allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted session packet. The P4Runtime session-initiation path processes a crafted packet as executable code, but Arista has not disclosed the affected function or operation. Exposure requires explicitly enabled P4Runtime in one of three insecure TLS, accounting, and authorization combinations, and exploitation grants full switch administration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
