Stored XSS in 37signals Trix before 2.1.18 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via crafted pasted HTML. HTMLParser applies data-trix-attributes from an empty mock attachment to a string piece, and StringPiece.fromJSON preserves an unvalidated javascript: href in serialized HTML. Exploitation requires another user to render and click the stored link; server-side HTML sanitization on save neutralizes the payload.
