CVE-2026-73415Network attack vector

Server code execution via persistent SVG blob context

Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026

Cross-site scripting in JupyterLab before 4.5.10 and 4.6.0 through 4.6.1 allows remote attackers to execute server code via a crafted SVG image. The ImageViewer in packages/imageviewer/src/widget.ts creates a blob URL for the SVG and revokes it too early, leaving script-capable content in the JupyterLab origin. Exploitation requires a user to open the image in the viewer and then in a new browser tab; successful script execution can invoke server APIs with that user's session.
