Stored XSS via unescaped CNA reference tags
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Stored XSS in Vulnerability-Lookup 5.5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a viewer's browser. The render_tag_badges filter interpolates CNA reference tags into badge HTML and wraps the result in Markup without escaping each tag. A user holding vulnerability:create or vulnerability:modify permission must store a crafted tag, which executes when another user opens its public vulnerability page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
