Contact-data disclosure via missing ACL check
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Improper access control in schema.org snippet generation in Joomla! CMS 5.1.0 through 5.4.7 and 6.0.0 through 6.1.2 allows attackers to read hidden contact data. Joomla's advisory does not name the exact class or method, but it states that the schema.org contact-data generation path inserts details from inaccessible contact records into emitted snippets without enforcing the contact item's view ACL first. The published CVSS v4.0 vector sets PR:H, so exploitation depends on administrative reach into the schema output path; the disclosed consequence is limited to confidentiality of contact information exposed in page metadata.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=5.1.0-5.4.6
