CVE-2026-73336Network attack vector

Cross-site scripting via schema.org output escaping

Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026

Cross-site scripting in Joomla! CMS 5.1.0 through 5.4.7 and 6.0.0 through 6.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to inject script-bearing schema.org output. Joomla discloses only that schema.org markup generation uses improper escaping flags; the published record indicates that untrusted schema values are emitted with incorrect neutralization in generated structured-data output. The CNA record scores the flaw with high privileges required, so reachability depends on access to schema-producing content or settings; public sources do not disclose whether exploitation is limited to rendered pages or also affects administrative views.
