Stored XSS via unsanitized contact form HTML
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Stored XSS in Camaleon CMS 2.9.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through a contact form. The cama_contact_form edit endpoint accepts the before_html value from low-privileged accounts and stores it without HTML sanitization. A victim must load the modified form; the script then runs in that user's browser and can steal cookies or issue authenticated administrative requests.
