Database compromise via enabled multiple SQL statements
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
SQL injection in Budibase before 3.40.0 allows remote attackers to compromise connected MySQL databases through crafted user input. The MySQL integration constructor in packages/server/src/integrations/mysql.ts enables multipleStatements for every connection, so injected semicolons are processed as additional SQL commands. Exploitation requires user interaction and a configured MySQL data source; resulting access is bounded by the database account used by Budibase.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
