CVE-2026-73295Network attack vectorHinoki check available

JavaScript execution via unsafe search suggestion rendering

Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026

DOM-based XSS in Material for MkDocs 7.2.0 through 9.7.6 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via a crafted q parameter. mountSearchSuggest joins query-derived suggestion text and assigns it to the suggestion element's innerHTML, causing the browser to parse attacker-controlled markup instead of displaying text. Exploitation requires the optional search.suggest feature and user interaction with a crafted URL; execution occurs in the documentation site's origin.
