Cross-site scripting via retained Markdown attributes
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Apache Allura 1.10.0 through 1.19.0 allows remote attackers to execute script through crafted Markdown content. The Markdown HTML sanitizer retains class and id attributes created from untrusted input instead of stripping them before rendering. Exploitation requires a user to render attacker-controlled Markdown; the script runs in the Allura origin and can read or alter data available to that user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
