CVE-2026-73222Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via shell-enabled process spawning

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

OS command injection in Claude Code Studio before 1.29.4 allows remote attackers to execute commands with the developer's privileges. The /api/execute and /api/install-agent handlers pass attacker-controlled prompt and agentName fields to child_process.spawn() with shell execution enabled, so metacharacters become shell syntax. Exposure requires a developer to run --studio; attackers can reach port 3444 directly or use a malicious website allowed by wildcard CORS to compromise source code, credentials, and local data.
