CVE-2026-73215Network attack vector

Authenticated denial of service via relay-port exhaustion

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

Resource exhaustion in coturn before 4.17.0 allows remote authenticated users to deny TURN allocations via repeated EVEN-PORT requests. turnports_allocate_even() marks the unused odd sibling as TPS_TAKEN_ODD when R=0, although no RTCP socket exists to release it. Repeated authenticated allocations permanently drain the relay-port pool, causing later allocations to fail with STUN error 508 while leaving confidentiality and integrity unaffected.
