Administrator takeover via interpolated actor inbox URL
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
SQL injection in PeerTube before 8.1.6 allows remote attackers to read and write its database through federated ActivityPub traffic. ActorFollowModel.updateScore() inserts an untrusted actor inboxUrl directly into a WHERE clause instead of binding it as an SQL parameter. No PeerTube account or user interaction is required; stolen OAuth tokens or a rewritten root password grant administrator control and plugin-based code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
