Resource exhaustion in FreeIPA in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, 9, and 10 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via oversized POST bodies. The public /ipa/i18n_messages handler in ipaserver/rpcserver.py trusts CONTENT_LENGTH and reads that many bytes from wsgi.input into memory before verifying the RPC method, and accepted input is copied again into a BytesIO buffer. Network reachability to the endpoint and the ability to send large POST bodies are sufficient; deployments that already enforce request-body limits reduce the impact to availability through memory pressure, slow responses, worker churn, and possible OOM termination.
