Authenticated service interrupt via oversized OTP key

Denial of service in FreeIPA in Red Hat Enterprise Linux allows remote authenticated users to interrupt IPA service via an oversized OTP key. In the otptoken-add handling path, the OTPTokenKey._convert_scalar routine decodes and later re-encodes attacker-supplied Base32 key material, and the published bug description states that this conversion was performed without proper size limits, causing excessive CPU and memory use. Exploitation requires low-privilege access to submit token-management requests, and the disclosed impact is degraded availability rather than data exposure or unauthorized modification.
