CVE-2026-73194Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Heap overwrite via numeric placeholder counter overflow

Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026

Heap out-of-bounds write in DBI before 1.652 allows remote attackers to corrupt process memory through a crafted SQL statement. The preparse numeric-placeholder branch assigns atoi output to the binder counter without range checking, so later question marks expand beyond its seven-byte budget. Exploitation requires an application to preparse attacker-controlled SQL into numbered placeholders and can disclose memory or crash the hosting process.
