CVE-2026-73192Hinoki check available

Reflected XSS via HTML5 entity-decoding gap

Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026

Cross-site scripting in Apache Sling XSS 2.4.10 and earlier allows attackers to execute script in a user's browser through getValidHref(). The XSSFilterImpl href validator fails to decode HTML5 named and semicolonless numeric character references as a browser does, so an encoded javascript URL passes as valid. Exploitation requires a consuming feature to pass attacker-controlled input to this method and render the returned URL for a user.
