CVE-2026-7319Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file modification via unchecked context paths

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Path traversal in Execution System MCP Server 0.1.0 allows remote attackers to modify existing service-writable Markdown files. The add_action tool passes its free-form context value to _get_context_file_path, which joins it beneath the contexts directory without normalization or a containment check before opening the resulting path for reading and writing. Exploitation requires MCP tool access and an existing Markdown target writable by the service account; successful requests alter data outside the configured repository subtree.
