Stored script execution via Modbus transaction content
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Advantech EKI-1242EIMS and EKI-1242IEIMS 1.06.01 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts. The Modbus transaction management interface persists attacker-supplied script content and later renders it in an administrator's browser without neutralization. Exploitation requires authenticated access and an administrator to open an affected management page, exposing the administrator's web session to script-controlled actions.
