Root code execution via web interface injection
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Code injection in Advantech EKI-1242IEIMS and EKI-1242EIMS firmware 1.06.01 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. Nozomi and Advantech identify the web management interface as the affected locus but do not disclose which endpoint or parameter generates code from untrusted input. Access to an authenticated management session is required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary operating-system commands as root on the gateway.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
