Stored XSS via unescaped conversion-table highlighting
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in MISP Project CTI-Transmute 1.4.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run browser script. The conversion-table highlight() function passes cell text to an HTML-rendering sink unchanged when no query exists and wraps regex matches before escaping the text. Low-privileged access and a victim viewing the affected table are required, allowing injected script to act in the viewer's application session.
