Workflow-status disclosure via unchecked badge token scopes
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Authorization bypass in Gitea 1.27.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read private workflow status via badges. GetWorkflowBadge in routers/web/repo/actions/badge.go returns the latest run status without enforcing repository-read scope or the token's public-only restriction. Exploitation requires a token whose owner can access the private repository; disclosure is limited to workflow status, without file contents or repository modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
