CVE-2026-73108Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Unauthenticated memory exhaustion via frame preallocation

Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 29, 2026

Uncontrolled memory allocation in RustDesk before 1.4.7 allows remote attackers to exhaust memory through crafted TCP frame headers. Before authentication, BytesCodec trusts the four-byte header's declared payload length and reserves up to 1,073,741,823 bytes before the payload arrives. Concurrent connections can repeat the allocation until the RustDesk process or host becomes unavailable; no data disclosure or modification is reported.
