Authenticated SSRF via unvalidated MCP server URL
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
SSRF in Activepieces before 0.82.0 allows remote authenticated users to probe internal services through MCP tool validation. The POST /api/v1/projects/:projectId/mcp-server/validate-agent-mcp-tool endpoint sends an HTTP or SSE request to the user-controlled serverUrl without URL validation, address filtering, or SSRF protection. Authentication is required; the request reveals network reachability from the server, including access to private and cloud-metadata addresses.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
