Stored XSS via unescaped attribute-view field names
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Stored XSS in SiYuan before 3.7.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary JavaScript through a crafted database field name. The getSortsHTML function inserts the raw field name into an option element and assigns the assembled markup to the sort menu with innerHTML. Exploitation requires control of a database field name and a user to open its sort menu; Node integration in the desktop client turns script execution into code execution at that user’s privileges.
