Code execution via unsanitized template calculation output
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Stored XSS in SiYuan before 3.7.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute code when a crafted database is opened. The Template calculation path stores text/template output verbatim, substitutes raw content into a span, and assigns it through innerHTML without calling the existing DOMPurify helper. Opening an affected database renders the calculation in an Electron window with Node integration, granting code execution at the desktop user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
