Code execution via Graphic Fonts heap overflow
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Windows Graphic Fonts allows remote attackers to execute code after user interaction. Microsoft has not published the affected font parser, malformed field, or unsafe memory operation that causes the heap overwrite. Exploitation requires a user to open or otherwise process attacker-controlled font content, after which code runs in the affected process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
