Local privilege escalation via use-after-free
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Use-after-free in Microsoft Windows Modern Execution Server allows local users to elevate privileges on affected Windows 10, 11, and Server builds. Modern Execution Server continues to reference memory after it has been freed, but Microsoft has not disclosed the affected function or object lifecycle. Successful exploitation requires an authenticated local low-privileged account and a high-complexity sequence, and it grants elevated privileges on the same system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
