Authenticated host command execution via unquoted volume name
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
OS command injection in Dokploy before 0.29.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands on the control-plane host. The volume-backup schema accepts an unrestricted volumeName, which backupVolume interpolates unquoted into a command executed through child_process.exec and /bin/sh. A base member with access to one service can modify a backup request and trigger it manually, gaining host/root-equivalent control through the mounted Docker socket.
