Host command execution via unescaped backup fields

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

OS command injection in Dokploy before 0.29.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands on the host. Backup and restore utilities interpolate database, S3, volume, and file fields into bash or sh command strings passed to child_process.exec() without shell quoting. An organization admin or owner must configure or trigger the affected operation; injected commands run with the Dokploy process's host privileges rather than inside the target container.
