Access rule bypass via uncanonicalized path comparison
Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Access control bypass in File Browser before 2.63.21 allows remote authenticated users to access administrator-denied files. rules.Rule.Matches compares raw virtual paths literally before data.Check passes them to the host filesystem for resolution. Exploitation requires a case-insensitive filesystem or Windows separator semantics; impact stays within the user's scope but includes permitted reading, modification, deletion, copying, or sharing.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
