Authenticated command execution via API scope bypass
Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Authorization bypass in the API plugin for GetGrav Grav before 1.0.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. ConfigController checks super-account status without applying the scoped API key cap, then accepts scheduler.custom_jobs commands that Job::run passes to Symfony Process. Exploitation requires an api.config.write key minted for a super account and yields command execution as the web server user.
