Remote code execution via uncapped Twig-toggle authorization
Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Missing authorization in the Grav API plugin before 1.0.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code through page saves. PagesController::guardTwigContent() trusts isSuperAdmin() without applying api_key_scopes, allowing a pages-write key minted on a super account to enable process.twig and reach the Twig renderer. Exploitation requires that key plus security.twig_content.process_enabled=true and editor_enabled=false; successful rendering executes attacker-supplied Twig on the server.
