Offline password cracking via exposed key material
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Information disclosure in SiYuan before 3.7.4 allows remote attackers to obtain encrypted-notebook key material through publish mode. The getConf path returns NotebookCrypto because HideConfSecret omits it, while getNotebookConf returns WrappedDEK without reader filtering. Publish mode and an encrypted notebook are required; access is anonymous when publish authentication is disabled or requires a reader account otherwise, and a recovered password unlocks notebook contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
