CVE-2026-72787Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Privileged-session JavaScript via unencoded draft names

Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026

Stored XSS in Craft CMS 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.10.7 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in privileged control-panel sessions. The element chip and card label helper inserts attacker-controlled draftName values into HTML without encoding them, although surrounding path segments are encoded. Exploitation requires draft-creation permission and a higher-privileged user to view the element; the script can perform authenticated actions in that user's session.
