Authenticated secret disclosure via pre-render interpolation
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Information disclosure in Craft CMS 4.0.0-RC1 through 4.18.1 and 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.10.5 allows remote authenticated users to read secrets. The elementId parameter expands ${ENV_VAR} references to environment variables or secret-file values before the resulting string is rendered as a sandboxed Twig template. Control-panel access and many blind error-based requests are required; exposed values can enable session forgery, privilege escalation, or credential theft.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
