Authenticated code execution via Twig sandbox escape
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Remote code execution in Craft CMS before 4.18.3 and before 5.10.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code. The sandbox treats ElementInterface implementations and their inherited class hierarchy as safe, exposing a yii\base\Component arbitrary function-call gadget to malicious Twig templates. Exploitation requires control-panel access and permission to render a template, and it succeeds even when enableTwigSandbox() is enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
