Credential exfiltration via unresolved credential-type expression
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Authorization bypass in n8n's HTTP Request node before 1.123.67, 2.31.5, and 2.32.1 allows remote authenticated users to access credentials. The pre-execution permission check compares an unresolved credential-type expression rather than its resolved value, skips ownership validation, and loads the referenced credential at runtime. Exploitation requires edit access to a shared workflow and knowledge of a target credential identifier, enabling unauthorized credential use or exfiltration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
