Authenticated command execution via expression sandbox escape
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Code injection in n8n before 2.31.5 and before 2.32.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute host commands through expressions. The expression evaluator accepts crafted arrow-function bodies that escape its sandbox and reach system command execution. Exploitation requires permission to create or modify workflows, and commands run with the privileges of the n8n process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
