CVE-2026-72745Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Memory corruption via unbounded Kerberos token offset

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

Out-of-bounds memory access in FreeRDP before 3.30.0 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a Kerberos GSS Wrap token. kerberos_DecryptMessage() validates the rotation count and token length but adds the unchecked 16-bit EC field to encrypted-region pointers before in-place decryption and integrity verification. Reachability requires a completed Kerberos NLA context in a WITH_KRB5 build; the resulting access exposes memory, corrupts heap state, or crashes the process.
