Host command execution via unescaped restore fields
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
OS command injection in Dokploy before 0.29.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands on the host through database restore. The restore builders interpolate databaseName into shell commands and backupFile into rclone paths, allowing shell syntax to reach execAsync or execAsyncRemote. A member with backup-restore permission can obtain host-context command execution without a valid database container or backup file.
