Stored XSS in Discourse before 2026.1.6 or affected 2026.5 and 2026.6 preview branches lets remote authenticated users inject HTML. The discourse-local-dates applyLocalDates function interpolates formatted data-format, data-timezone, or data-displayed-timezone values into insertAdjacentHTML instead of assigning them as text. Exploitation requires a modified or disabled default Content Security Policy and a user to view the stored post, enabling script execution in that user's browser.
