Stored XSS via crafted moderation-queue content
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Stored XSS in affected Discourse releases allows remote authenticated users to run script in a moderator's browser through queued content. The advisory does not identify the review-queue rendering locus or the missing neutralization operation that permits the stored payload to execute. Exploitation requires a moderator to view the queued item and a site whose default Content Security Policy is modified or disabled, exposing data and actions available to that moderator.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
