Email enumeration via distinct registration responses
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Email enumeration in the Grav Login plugin before 3.9.1 allows remote attackers to identify registered email addresses via registration responses. The register() method in classes/Login.php throws EMAIL_NOT_AVAILABLE for an existing email but silently continues for a new one. Registration must be enabled and network-reachable; without rate limiting, unauthenticated requests reveal account membership one address at a time.
