Cross-space data disclosure and modification via omitted filter
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Missing authorization in Kibana 8.0.0 through 8.19.19 and 9.0.0 through 9.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to access cross-space ML data. Machine Learning runs Elasticsearch operations with elevated internal permissions, but affected functionality omits the per-request space filter and applies requests to ML data in every space. All configurations are affected; an account with Machine Learning access in one space can read or modify other spaces’ ML data without interrupting service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
