Authenticated cross-space query execution via unchecked agent selectors
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Authorization bypass in Elastic Kibana 9.1.0 through 9.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to run Osquery queries on unauthorized hosts. The live-query authorization path accepts user-controlled agent selectors without constraining them to policies available in the request's space. The user needs Osquery live-query permission in one space; results from agents in another space are written to the Osquery results data stream.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
